The Living Stones Foundation[1] was established in 1986. In 1999, the Eldred family wanted to proactively invest in ministry opportunities that share the same principles. The Foundation has an independent board of directors with the goals of accomplishing the vision of the Lord Jesus Christ. By providing strategic and financial support to projects, the Foundation invests in Kingdom-building ministries. The areas of specific interest of the Foundation are Kingdom Business, family values, local, national and international transformation focusing in the United States, Middle East, Israel, Central and South America, and Southeast Asia [1].

[edit] Published Works

Ken is the co-editor of On Kingdom Business, winner of a 2004 Christianity Today Book Award [4][2]. On Kingdom Business proposes a new model for using business in missions: kingdom entrepreneurship. Kingdom entrepreneurs are "job-makers," starting for-profit businesses. This book provides a conceptual foundation for kingdom entrepreneurship and explores its contemporary development using specific examples through case studies of kingdom businesses. Ken is also the author of God Is At Work: Transforming People and Nations Through Business [5]. This is a book about kingdom business as well--the effort to promote Christian faith and commerce through profitable business. It recognizes and describes the connection between economic transformation and spiritual transformation. By mobilizing its business people, the church has a unique opportunity to make an impact in developing nations.
