[edit] Summary
This is an image of bedrock deformation resulting from a probable meteor impact at the Kentland crater near Kentland, Indiana. The original image is found at [1]. The description found there reads:
"Deformation involving bending and overturning is well exposed in the layered limestones exposed by quarrying at the Kentland, Indiana impact structure:"
Since there is no disclaimer to indicate that this image is not a work of the U.S. Government, I assume that it is, like most images on NASA sites, in the public domain unless otherwise stated. Although the image is found on a NASA site, I would not be surprised to learn that it came originally from USGS (PD-USGov-Interior-USGS).
[edit] Licensing
This file is in the public domain because it was created by NASA. NASA copyright policy states that "NASA material is not protected by copyright unless noted". (NASA copyright policy page or JPL Image Use Policy)
