KEMP Technologies, Inc. is a developer and manufacturer of application delivery controllers and server load balancer appliances. The company was founded in 2000 and is based in Medford, New York. Originally a reseller, KEMP changed its business model in 2003 with the introduction of the LoadMaster.
[edit] KEMP LoadMaster
In designing the LoadMaster, KEMP's objective was to offer a cost effective load balancing appliance geared towards small and medium businesses (SMB).[1] The LoadMaster line currently includes 3 models: the LoadMaster 1500,[2] the LoadMaster 2500,[3] and the LoadMaster 3500.[4]
LoadMaster includes Layers 4-7 load balancing, content switching and server persistence, SSL offload/acceleration, support for Windows Terminal Services [5] with persistence with Session Directory integration[6] and application front-end capabilities (caching, compression, intrusion prevention system).
