[edit] Empty Articles

Is there a reason why you are continually creating empty articles? Werdna648T/C\@ 10:33, 2 January 2006 (UTC)

Looks like a response to the Michael Jackson article (history). "I added the videography. I'm going to add pictures and facts about the video. Of course anyone is welcomed to help. The dash ( - ) distinguishes other subjects with the same name." --Topaz 10:40, 2 January 2006 (UTC)

Kelvin, pages already exist for the subjects to which your pages refer, see One_More_Chance_(Michael_Jackson_song) for example. -- (aeropagitica) UK 10:42, 2 January 2006 (UTC)

Please stop making empty article, your articles firstly do not follow naming conventions and since they are empty they do not really add anything to Wikipedia. Please add information to the song article and if the size of the article becomes unmanagable write a new article called song name (music video).--nixie 10:50, 2 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Naming of pages

Hi Kelvin. I see that lots of the pages you are creating (as referred to in the above comments) have dashes to differentiate them from articles of the same name. Unfortunately, this goes against the standard Wikipedia naming conventions - please have a read through Wikipedia:Naming conventions to find out more about naming articles. Regards, CLW 10:54, 2 January 2006 (UTC)

What CLW said. And by the way, Wikipedia wasn't started yesterday. We do have articles about Michael Jackson songs ;-) Gazpacho 11:06, 2 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] PLEASE STOP!

Please read the messages above, particularly in terms of naming conventions! Please read these carefully before creating any more articles which end in dashes! If you continue to ignore polite, constructive requests and create articles in this way, you could be accused of vandalism. CLW 11:18, 2 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Page Blanking

  • No worries, it was an honest mistake. VegaDark 02:14, 3 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Learning curve

Hi Kelvin. Don't be daunted by all the "new stuff" you encounter as you find your way around here - experience is one of the best ways of learning, and if you do something you didn't mean to do, it can usually be undone! The links in the "welcome" comment at the top of this talk page should be particularly useful to you - I'd certainly recommend checking them out. Regards, CLW 00:52, 3 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Mj_1980s_67.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Mj_1980s_67.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images on Wikipedia is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. You can get help on image copyright tagging from Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags. -- Carnildo 16:31, 1 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Screwjob.png

Hi Kelvin. I've changed the licencing details of the above image to "no licence", as there is insufficient source information to confirm that the copyright holder has released all rights to the image. Please could you confirm how you are able to tell that this is true? Thanks, CLW 17:34, 1 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Michael Jackson

Regarding your recent edits the Michael Jackson article, the current consensus among editors is to leave the introduction free of nicknames and instead mention them further down the article. From what I can see its taken much debate to reach this decision, so please discuss it with the other editors before changing the article against the current consensus. Please try not to turn the debate over nicknames into a silly Jackson verses Presley arguement.--Knuckle 03:46, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
