[edit] Your RFA
Hi. I've closed your RFA. Consensus was very unlikely. I don't think there was anything to be gained allowing this discussion to continue for Wikipedia, please consider the good faith comments however. I hope you will continue to contribute also. Very respectfully. Navou banter 00:54, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
- I disagree with your decision; I have already indicated that I wished for it to run its full course and I regret that you have failed to respect that wish. By terminating it so soon you haven't allowed for anything even resembling a full discussion and have once again given lie to the oft-repeated claim that RFA is "not a vote". However, what's done is done, no matter how ill-advised. Kelly Martin (talk) 02:24, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
- I hope you will forgive my ignorance of your request to allow the discussion to continue, in my ignorance of your wish, I have failed to respect it, unless its on that RFA and I missed it. I read that discussion. I did not tally. I saw no consensus, and determined that consensus was unlikely. Additionally, my actions were out of respect for you and the community. Oh dear, it's been reopened. Can you explain why you want it to go on, please? The negative effects are clear, "enabling drama". What are the more valuable positive effects? --AnonEMouse (squeak) 16:35, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
Hi Kelly. I have closed the RFA. At over 100 opposes, and just a third expressing confidence it is unlikely to succeed, and continuing on would be pointless in determining a candidate's suitability as an admin. Regards, =Nichalp «Talk»= 18:20, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
- You should have closed it before it began, as RfA is unsuitable for determining anyone's suitability as an admin. But I digress. Kelly Martin (talk) 18:44, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] MfD notification
For your information, a user subpage of yours, User:Kelly Martin/B, has been nominated for deletion. If you wish to participate in the discussion, please see Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:Kelly Martin/B (2nd nomination). Thank you. Acalamari 20:15, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
- Please consider db-author'ing this relic of a long-forgotten disagreement to spare any further fuss over it. Thanks, Newyorkbrad 20:18, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
- Doing that to User:Kelly Martin/Q, as it's a similar page, might be a good idea as well. Thanks. Acalamari 20:29, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
- Why can't you children leave well-enough alone? Kelly Martin (talk) 21:02, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
- I was only notifying you of the MfD, and Newyorkbrad offered a suggestion. We were only helping. There was no need for that response. Acalamari 21:07, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
- How do either of your communications assist me in improving the encyclopedia? They don't. All they do (as well as the underlying MfD) is increase drama. Go away. Don't bother me unless it has to do with the encyclopedia. Thanks, and have a nice day. Kelly Martin (talk) 21:10, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
- As these pages are not helping the encyclopedia, and I understand there is no objection, I am going to speedy both of the pages. That should resolve this matter. Newyorkbrad 21:37, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re: MFD of your user subpage
I can understand why you were bothered that I listed your user subpage for deletion. John Reaves rightly criticized me for wasting time, and indeed, in the past I have wasted time by searching Special:Random/User for dead userpages. I don't do that anymore, but when I happen to see a userpage that looks troublesome, I try not to ignore it. On your recent request for adminship, somebody linked to that subpage of yours and seemed upset by it, so I thought it might cool things down a little if we simply removed the page, which serves no useful purpose and seems to mock whoever is supposed to be reading it. That was a judgment call on my part, and experienced editors here have seen it both ways. Shalom (Hello • Peace) 00:38, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
