[edit] License tagging for Image:Mine shaft plan.png
Thanks for uploading Image:Mine shaft plan.png. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 22:11, 11 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] please forgive me
You have been doing a remarkably good job catching speedies, and I mistakenly blocked you instead of one particularly outrageous editor. My deeepest apologies. If everything isn't OK, get back to me and I'll fix it. (I feel pretty stupid about it)DGG 02:34, 15 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] sina lari
i have created a true arcticle about sina lari and i would like to know what is wrong with it. i am sure you would not have deleted it if the article had been created by your son! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Orgel (talk • contribs) 20:39, 29 May 2007
[edit] Ground fault
The page does seem a little odd where it is, but you should handle it as a merge or a move. If all the content is already in another page, call it a merge, and just leave the redirect, if its appropriate. With only one editor you could just ask him instead of following the formal procedure. But I'm not supposed to do a delete as a speedy for something like this.DGG 16:41, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] The WVWF Page

[edit] hey thanks
Thank you for fixing Lake Transit for me, for some reason the stub, notes, cat, and template simply werent showing up. Major cool points. Hey could you take a look at Richmond, California for me? Theres an ongoing debate about whether between Hercules and The Bay Bridge along interstate 80 means that includes richmond or not as being the most congested commute, my logic makes me think that is just like saying states west of the mississippi. that doesnt say california in name but it does mean california, similarly i reckon that between hercules and the bay bridge does mean richmond.Cholga is a SUPERSTAR¡Talk2Cholga!Sexy Contribs 02:12, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
- no problem, there was an issue with the cite web template that needed to be cleaned up, don't know enough about the area to pass judgement on Richmond, California though.--Kelapstick 02:24, 28 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] AfD: Geoffrey Sampson
I have proposed the Geoffrey Sampson article, which I created a few weeks ago, for deletion. As you have edited it, I thought you might like to know. You may wish to comment here: [1]. Regards, ElectricRay 21:10, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Jae (disambiguation)
Hi Kelapstick,
I am confused by your "cleanup" of the Jae disambiguation page. By WP:MOSDAB, disambiguation pages have separate sections according to topic, but human name entries are either all in one section or divided into two sections, one by given name and one by surname. Breaking the performance artists off into their own section seems to be in contradiction with these guidelines. Adding "the name of" to the opening sentence seems redundant as well, as the sentence has the same meaning with or without it. Also, I do not understand your deletion of the "See also" section. If your concern was with the fact that it was filled with red links, I am about to create all those redirects and disambiguation pages. I would like to switch the page back to its original format. If you have reason to believe it should stay the way it is, please let me know.

[edit] Allison family article
Thanks for take the initiative to speedy delete it. I intend on working on the article as soon as I finish adding a category to some of the other articles on Titanic victims, but I do appreciate your good intentions. Morhange 16:59, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Naming conventions for territories
Hey there, I noticed you created Category:Mining communities in the Northwest Territories, and then replaced it with Category:Mining communities in Northwest Territories. The former is actually correct according to the convention we've adopted for Canadian territories on Wikipedia. Specifically, we refer to the Northwest Territories, the Yukon, and Nunavut. A more elaborate explanation can be found at Naming conventions (settlements); these generic rules can be applied to categories too. (I can't find the specific mention for using the Northwest Territoties, but it does exist; for example, take a look at the entries in Category:Communities in Canada). Hope this helps. - I thoguht the Northwest Territories was correct, but then when I was adding Yellowknife I saw that it was in Category:Cities in Northwest Territories, so I assumed that was the correct naming convention, and switched it. Anyway I will flip them back to the new one (there were only two articles linked anyway), and change YK, it is the only one in that category I think anyway. Thanks--Kelapstick 20:46, 22 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] John T. Ryan Trophy
Sorry, I misunderstood the purpose of the prize. I thought the safety record was based on advanced mining engineering. Thanks for clearing that up. Clerks. 12:41, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Oil shale
Hi, Kelapstick. I wonder if you may be interested to help developing Oil shale and its spin-off articles. I listed Oil shale for the new peer review and related spin-off articles (Oil shale extraction, Oil shale geology, Oil shale industry, History of the oil shale industry, Oil shale reserves, Oil shale economics, and Environmental effects of oil shale industry) for the peer review. Your comments and edits will be most welcome. The intention is to have these articles ready for the GA and FA nominations.Beagel 18:00, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Climate graph
You added a climate graph to the Flin Flon article in July; I created that climate graph template in April and recently altered it so that all information appears on one line (this way, you can completely remove the sunshine hours, instead of leaving it blank). If you have added any of these graphs elsewhere, please let me know so I can update those ones, too. Thanks.
See: User:Vidioman/Weather/Climategraphs for more. Thanks.

- Flin Flon was the only one I used it for, I was going to use it to make up a chart for Greater Sudbury but never got around to it. Thanks--Kelapstick 20:20, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Merge of coal mining and sub-surface mining
Hello! Beagel pointed me to where I can find you, as you are interested in articles regarding mining. I've started a discussion regarding the merger of sub-surface mining into coal mining - I'd appreciate your opinion. Cheers and thanks in advance! --Ouro (blah blah) 10:03, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
