Kelston is a residential suburb of Waitakere, one of the four cities that make up the Auckland metropolitan area in northern New Zealand. At the 2001 census, it has a population of 3,975.
Originally a ceramics manufacturing centre, the area is now mostly residential, including a number of schools. Kelston Boys High School is renowned for its rugby union team, the Kelston Boys High 1st XV. The school has produced a number of All Blacks, and regularly wins Auckland, nationwide and even worldwide secondary school rugby championships. Other schools in the area include Kelston primary, intermediate and girls high schools and Kelston Deaf Education Centre
Local industries also include Ultra Shade, an umbrella manufacturing company.
