[edit] About Kelly
Kelly is the daughter of Vic and Anne Windsor. Kelly for a long time didn't know really how Anne died because Vic lied to her. Anne had caught Vic in bed with Viv Dawson and got hit by a car when she ran away. Since Kelly didn't know this to start with, she loved Viv like a mother. Kelly got a half-sister called Donna from Vic and Viv's marriage. Kelly’s first taste of young love was with local lad Roy Glover. They dated briefly before Roy started snogging other ladies and left Kelly. After a couple of other flings, Kelly had her most serious relationship when she and her teacher Tom Bainbridge started having a secret affair. When their secret was exposed, Kelly denied everything in order to help Tom keep his job. When the sleazy schoolmaster’s antics were revealed, he lost his job and he and Kelly ran away together.
When she arrived back in Emmerdale a few months later, Kelly told her step-mum Viv that she’d found him in bed with another pupil and left him. Having been betrayed so badly by Tom, Kelly’s new attitude towards men was to treat them as mean as possible. She toyed with Roy’s affections, slept with Biff Fowler and, when she discovered she was pregnant with Roy’s baby, conned Chris Tate into believing he was the father. She began working at Home Farm and lied to Chris about having his baby, while she was secretly planning to abort it. When Kim Tate pushed her down the stairs, Kelly lost the baby and accepted £1,000 from Steve Marchant to keep quiet about it.
In 1998, Kelly shocked even herself when she started to have feelings for her step-brother Scott Windsor. The pair kissed on Christmas Day 1998, just as Kelly’s dad Vic was being murdered by Billy Hopwood in the post office. After sleeping with Scott in 1999, Kelly was so horrified that she ran back into Roy’s arms and was soon planning to marry him.
Throughout the time she was planning the nuptials, Kelly was seeing Scott behind Roy’s back but when he, enraged by her refusal to leave Roy, exposed their affair, Kelly denied everything. Now married, Kelly and Roy were having serious money problems and resorted to cleaning to help pay their way. But when Kelly “borrowed” jewellery off client Miss Curtis and staged a dinner party in her house, the police were called. In order to protect his wife, Roy took the rap and went to jail. While he languished inside, Kelly slept with Scott again and the guilt sent her into a deep depression.
After writing letters to her entire family and confessing to the affair on tape, Kelly took an overdose and nearly died. Scott found her letters and burnt them to prevent getting blamed for what had happened. But when Kelly recovered she came clean with Roy and decided to start a new life in London, bankrolled by Chris Tate.
Although she and Roy had a brief reconciliation, they couldn’t make the relationship work and he left to go to Ibiza without her. When her step-mum Viv got married to Bob, Kelly and her had a massive fight and the whole sordid truth about Scott and Kelly was revealed. With no friends, family or husband willing to talk to her, Kelly left for London after all – alone, with younger sister Donna the only person sad to see her go.
When she returned to the village in 2005, it was clear Kelly had got worse not better. She threw herself back into village life and made enemies of Zoe Tate and Dawn Woods – both exes of her brother Scott.
She had her sights set on a more exciting life though and soon started eyeing the rich men in the village. She seduced Jimmy King and enjoyed his money and power during a brief fling but he ended it when his ex-wife Sadie revealed Kelly’s glamour model career. Kelly didn’t cry for long though. She started dating wealthy Rodney Blackstock – a man old enough to be her father!
Although it seemed like a clear cut case of Kelly in golddigger mode, she actually really fell for Rodney. They enjoy a fun relationship together where Kelly gets lots of money, but Rodney gets a happy, fun-loving babe at his side. Kelly is further blessed when she and Rodney’s son Paul – who has become very close to her – are given Holdgate Farm to turn into a spa by their rich loved one and it looks like Kelly’s aspirations might be realised. Sadly however, the dream began to turn sour. Rodney had years of overspending behind him, and started to run out of money. The spa was abandoned and Kelly and Rodney split. Kelly spent months feeling sorry for herself, and attacking her own family despite their grief over dawn woods death. She then set upon ormer lover Jimmy King to bank roll her future. She argued she was going to bleed him dry to avenge Dawn's death. A little hollow, as she never had time for Dawn when she was alive. Kelly has started to fall for Jimmy recently, and is not soconfident in her plan.It was announced that Kelly is engaged by Jimmy King.
It is revealed that Kelly will fall pregnant with Jimmy's baby and plan to have an abortion but Scarlett makes her think if motherhood won't be so bad. Things are going badly for Kelly at the moment. Carrie Nicholls has now found out about Kelly's abortion by finding an abortion booklet in Scarlett Nicholls jeans pocket, Carrie wanted answers and thought at first it was Scarlett, Scarlett said it wasn't her and Carrie asked who was it, firstly Scarlett said it's a friend and then revealed to Carrie that it was Kelly, which led to Carrie having a go at Kelly for messing Scarlett about. Kelly pleaded with Carrie not to say anything to Jimmy about it and Carrie issued Kelly with the first ultimatum, either Kelly stays away from Scarlett or Carrie will tell Jimmy the truth. - Kelly had another argument with Carrie, in which Kelly lost her temper with Carrie which led Kelly to hitting Carrie across the face which led to Carrie reporting Kelly for assault. Kelly has also lost her modelling job.
The police questioned Kelly about hitting Carrie, which Kelly denied. Jimmy lied and covered for Kelly, to keep her out of prison, by saying she had never hit Carrie. When Carrie and Kelly were on their own again, Kelly apologised, and said she didn't mean to hit Carrie and that she had lashed out. However, it didn't wash with Carrie, and this led to the second ultimatum. Carrie told Kelly to stay away from Scarlet and to also stay away from Carrie herself, if she ever crosses her she will ruin her.
Kelly warned Carrie to keep her mouth shut about her abortion or she would spill the beans to Scarlett and other Emmerdale residents about Carrie being Lexi Nicholls mother. Carrie had Lexi at just 14. At that moment only Carrie, Kelly, Lexi and Jimmy had known that Carrie is Lexi's mother. (Scarlett was unaware that she really is Lexi's half sister, not her auntie.)
Kelly was blackmailed by Debbie Dingle. Kelly didn't know if she could marry Jimmy and got jealous that he was hanging out with Carrie.
On the wedding things went well, however Debbie rang and revealed all to Scarlett, including the kiss. Jimmy forgave Kelly, although he left her when he discovered she had an abortion. A heartbroken Kelly had no one to comfort her after Viv disowned her, so she stole some money. Kelly left Emmerdale in Debbie's stolen car, (given to her by Eli). Her final voice was heard when Jimmy found her marriage vows saying how much she loves him.
