Kelly Services, Inc. is a Fortune 500 company headquartered in Troy, Michigan, offering staffing solutions that include temporary staffing services, outsourcing, vendor on-site and full-time placement.[1] Kelly operates in 36 countries and territories.[2] Kelly provides employment to more than 700,000 employees annually, with skills including office services, accounting, engineering, information technology, law, science, marketing, light industrial, education, health care and home care. Revenue in 2006 was $5.6 billion. Kelly Services, Inc. was ranked #407 in the 2006 Fortune 500.

William Russell Kelly created the US temporary staffing industry in 1946, when he founded Kelly Services, Inc. Since then, Kelly Services has provided services to customers in a variety of industries. Kelly’s range of staffing solutions and geographic coverage has grown steadily over the years to meet the needs of their customers. Kelly’s traditional expertise began with office services, contact center, light industrial, and electronic assembly staffing. Today, Kelly also offers innovative staff management solutions for its customers, including staff leasing, outsourcing, consulting, recruitment, and vendor management services.

Kelly has evolved from a US-focused company concentrating primarily on traditional office services into a global staffing leader with a breadth of speciality businesses. Kelly is the world’s largest scientific staffing provider and it ranks among the leaders in IT, engineering, and financial staffing.

The current Chairman of the Board of Directors is Terence E. Adderley,[3] and the CEO is Carl T. Camden.[4]

Kelly Services does offer benefits and employee discounts to their temporary employees. These benefits are not as extensive as a traditional benefits package from a direct employer, however it does include 401k, disability, worker's compensation.
