Kelly Joy Hoare (born July 1, 1963), Australian politician, has been an Australian Labor Party member of the Australian House of Representatives since 1998, representing the Division of Charlton, New South Wales. She has lost Labor preselection for the 2007 election. She was born in Deniliquin, New South Wales, the daughter of Bob Brown, who represented the Division of Hunter from 1980 to 1984 and Charlton from 1984 to 1998. Hoare was educated at the University of Canberra, and was a public servant and her father's electorate officer before entering Federal Parliament.

On May 4 2007, Greg Combet announced that he would run for preselection in Charlton. He was installed over the top of the ALP branch members by the National Executive. Hoare said that she was the "sole bread winner" in her family and that she would have to sell her house if she lost the salary of an MP.[1] On 6 May 2007 News Ltd newspaper, The Sunday Telegraph, reported that Hoare had been the subject of a sexual harassment complaint from a Comcar driver. It was alleged that on April 10, Hoare propositioned the driver for sex [2].

Hoare released a short statement saying that she regretted the 'improper approach' and was undertaking counselling.[3]
