[edit] Keith Jorgensen

A {{prod}} template has been added to the article Keith Jorgensen, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{db-author}}. [edit] AfD nomination of Keith Jorgensen

Keith Jorgensen, an article you created, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. However, an editor does not feel that Keith Jorgensen satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Keith Jorgensen and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Keith Jorgensen during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 17:41, 23 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Question

Are you Keith Jorgensen? I noticed your username had what could be his initials in it. Improbcat 19:33, 23 October 2007 (UTC)

Being new to wikipedia, I am still learning the rules. I am him. I do apologize for the time I have taken away from other articles' needs. I thought I had to start with an article about myself before adding to other articles, like a resume. I was not trying to be arrogant. Everything I have posted is true, however. I can try to find sources to verify. Do except my apology. I am not a spammer and was not attempting to discredit wikipedia in any way or form. On a side, I want to take a moment to compliment everyone in the completeness of their research. It has only solidified my trust in wikipedia's accuracy. Again, I apologize and hope you will continue to allow me to be an active part of the wikipedia community.
As I'm guessing you've determined by now, writing about yourself of companies/organizations/etc. you are officially connected with is a violation of the Wikipedia:Conflict of interest policy. COI is a big deal because it runs counter to wikipedia's goal to create a neutral verifiable encyclopedia.
You are strongly encouraged however to make edits and contribute on any topics where there isn't a COI issue. And I wish you luck with your future edits to wikipedia. Improbcat

I do understand now. Again, I hope this does not tarnish my reputation in the Wikipedia community.--Kejsport 19:52, 24 October 2007 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Keith Jorgensen. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I've noticed that you've been adding your signature to some of your article contributions, such as you did to Keith Jorgensen. This is a simple mistake to make and is easy to correct. For future reference, the need to associate edits with users is taken care of by an article's edit history. Therefore, you should use your signature only when contributing to talk pages, the Village Pump, or other such discussion pages. For a better understanding of what distinguishes articles from these type of pages, please see What is an article?. Again, thanks for contributing, and enjoy your Wikipedia experience! Thank you.
