Hi, Keith! "Receiving critical acclaim" for a single off his debut album doesn't meet notability requirements. Take a look at Wikipedia:Notability (music)#Criteria for musicians and ensembles. -- SatyrTN (talk | contribs) 03:24, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
Hi, Kieth! Per the guideline, you really should have reliable source(s) that report on his performance(s) in the major cities. Actually, most of the ones listed in a news search on Google are probably good: http://news.google.com/news?hl=en&ned=us&q=%22chris+garneau%22&btnG=Search+News
As an added comment that you probably don't want to hear, most of the references you have on the page aren't very good. The Queerty one is fine, but the others are blogs and myspace, which are not acceptable. See WP:SPS and WP:RS.
Sorry if I seem harsh - the initial reading I did of the article was because he's in an LGBT cat. I (and others in the LGBT WikiProject go through every article in our cats to make sure they have sources and are "up to snuff". The previous version of the article not only didn't state notability, but since he's only had one album out and is fairly new, I wanted to make sure he was actually somebody, not just a kid in a garage band :)
Thanks for the work you've done / are doing :) Happy editing! -- SatyrTN (talk | contribs) 03:50, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
Looking much better! Thanks for all that work - now it's looking like a real article :) If you have any questions whatsoever, don't hesitate to drop me a note! -- SatyrTN (talk | contribs) 05:18, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
