[edit] Execution style

What exactly does "execution-style" mean? I think either that sentence should be rephrased, that phrase should be cut out, or a new entry should be started to explain the term. Mariko

It means he was shot in the head, thereby ensuring the victim is killed. User:George

More Specifically....it is to be shot in the back of the head, usually while kneeling in front of your killer.

The fact that the US Army refuses to admit that he was killed does not mean he is alive. Sources confirmed his death regardless of his official status in the military. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Eclecticerudite (talkcontribs) 2006-06-18

Can you post these sources where they confirm his death please? Unfortunately, the U.S. Army can't classify an MIA soldier as KIA unless they are completely sure that he has died. —Drowne | Talk 15:20, 19 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Photograph

for the person running this entry, I am a friend of the Maupin Family. Matt's mom and dad would prefer that the picture of him be the one that is at:

If it is Ok, I will change it.

and I would be happy to help with Matt's page as needed. Swumpgas@yahoo.com

[edit] Dead?

I think it begs mention to state in the article that there's a stark divide in the community here over whether or not Maupin is dead. The news tends to only report the one side. Rockhound 22:25, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
