Keith Grimwood

James Keith Grimwood (born September 19, 1951) is one half of the band Trout Fishing in America, playing bass and providing vocals for the group. He has performed with such groups as St. Elmo's Fire and the Houston Symphony before forming Trout Fishing in America with guitarist Ezra Idlet (another former member of St. Elmo's Fire).
Grimwood plays a 1992 Fender jazz bass on stage as well as a Clevinger electric upright and prefers Elixir strings. When recording he occasionally uses an acoustic upright bass.
Grimwood is a graduate of the University of Houston School of Music.
