Keimola Motor Stadium

The Keimola Motor Stadium (1966–1978) was race circuit situated in Vantaa Keimola, Finland.
The track was founded by Curt Lincoln and the building of track was started in 1965, it was opened June 12 1966.
The track was never used for Formula One races although its track profile would suit Formula One cars. The track was used quite often for Formula Two. In that time Formula One drivers could also participate in Formula Two races, so in Keimola was seen such legends like: Jim Clark, Graham Hill, Jack Brabham, Jochen Rindt and Denny Hulme.
The track was around 3.3 kilometres (2.1 mi) long and the home straight was around 1 kilometre (0.6 mi) long and it has seven turns.
Today the track is unsuitable for driving but the control tower is still standing there.

European prototype serie (Interserie) was driven in Keimola between 1970-1972. Leo Kinnunen from AAW Racing Team drove full seasons between 1971-1973 and won the championship in every year. The track record is also hold by Kinnunen who drove it in 1972 Interserie race with Porsche 917/10 TC. The lap time was 1 minutes and 11,74 seconds with average speed of 165.4 km/h (102.8 mph).

The first Keimola rallycross race was driven June 6 1974, it was European Championship race.

In Keimola was also driven first drag racing competition in Finland 1975.
