Kei Qobád
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Kei Qobád is the first king of semi-historical Kayanian dynasty in Iranian mythology. He was a descendant of Manuchehr, and lived in the Alborz mountains, and was brought to the Estaxr(the capital) by Rustam. After the Pishdādi dynasty, Iranians chose him as king when he defeated Afrasiab in personal combat. Although the other desendents of Nowzar (like Zou, Garshasp and Gastham) were present, but because the xvarənah was with the Kei Qobád, he was chosen as the king instead of them. Nowzar was killed by Afrasiab during the battle.
