[edit] Season 2006/2007

The 2006-07 Kedah squad won treble which are Malaysia Super League, Malaysia Cup and Malaysia FA Cup.

[edit] Malaysia Super League 2006-07

The 2006-07 Kedah squad was a relatively young squad, but still did well in all three of the major competitions over the season (Malaysia Super League, Malaysia Cup and Malaysia FA Cup). Kedah's preparation was disrupted by national team call-ups, but the reserve players did well in the absence of the national players. Kedah's 21-match unbeaten streak in all competitions from 27 December 2006 was ended on 18 April 2007 by Perak FA in the Perak Stadium at Ipoh where Perak FA won the match by 1-0. The date of 4 August 2007 was a glorious moment for Kedah FA and their fanatic fans, when they beat DPMM FC, a football club from Brunei 1-0 scored by Soley s/o Kanasian) and won the Malaysia Super League 2006-07 title for the second time in the club's history.

[edit] FA Cup 2006/2007

On 30 June 2007, Kedah won the Malaysian FA Cup for the second time in the club's history after beating Perlis FA 4-2 in a penalty shootout (both teams tied at 0-0 after extra time) in Pulau Pinang State Stadium, Batu Kawan.

[edit] Malaysia Cup 2006/2007

On September 8th 2007, Kedah won the Malaysia Cup final 3-0 against Perak with two goals by Marlon Alex James and one from Mohd Khyril Muhymeen.

[edit] Support

Kedah has one of the best league attendances among teams in Malaysia[citation needed]. The 40,000-capacity Darul Aman Stadium is often filled with sell-out crowds whenever a home game is played.

[edit] Rival clubs

Kedah FA's main rivals are Perak FA and Selangor FA.

[edit] Theme song

Like Manchester United F.C. which is famous with its anthem Glory Glory Manchester United, Kedah FA – also known as "Hijau-Kuning" (Yellow-Green) and the "Canaries" – also have their own numinous song. The title of the song is Biar Jasa Jadi Kenangan. The lyrics of this song were written by Dato' Paduka Ahmad Basri Akil, who is the former manager of the team, while the melody of the song was created by Freddie Fernandes. This famous evergreen song is sung by fanatic fans of Kedah to boost their beloved players' morale.
