[edit] Pronunciation

Should we indicate that Kean is usually pronounced "Kane" and not "Keen"? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.75.199.29 (talk • contribs) 16:15, 10 November 2006

---> I included a pronounciation in the intro section. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.44.193.207 (talkcontribs) 21:23, 30 November 2006

Pronunciation of Kean (Kane or Kean)

  • Just a comment regarding the pronunciation of Kean: My name is Robert T. Kean and my father was Thomas M. Kean, minority floor leader in the State House in the Nevada State Legislature for 20+ years. We are from the west coast and the name "Kean" is pronounced "Keen" sometimes with a very slight lower toned pronunciation of the "a" that differenciates "Kean" from "Keen". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.67.13.86 (talkcontribs) 03:13, 11 May 2007

[edit] Suggestions

I added, cleaned up, and sorted through the info we had, as well as uploaded the logo. This is no where near complete. Maybe we can all list things we should add to it, and someone could work on it

Things to add

  • Buildings.
  • More Alumni.
  • More detailed history. I think there was an add put out by kean into the star-ledger that could be of reference. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.44.193.207 (talkcontribs) 21:23, 30 November 2006

Deleted portion on pronunciation of Kean as it belonged above in "pronunciaton" —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.67.13.86 (talkcontribs) 03:12, 11 May 2007

[edit] Kean Neologisms

I deleted this unless there is a reason why this needs to be on the page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.44.193.207 (talkcontribs) 04:34, 18 December 2006

[edit] Pronunciation again

Is there a source on the pronunciation? I am from NJ and lots of ppl I know go to Kean and I've never heard anyone pronounce it "cane."-67.85.180.72 08:48, 8 September 2007 (UTC)

  • I've heard it pronounced both ways over the years. The real question is, does it matter? Does Duke University indicate to everyone that its name is phonetically /dook/? Mystache 14:50, 8 September 2007 (UTC)

Removed. No real significant notability. She is a freelance motivational speaker, and won a writing contest. Although significant in her life, i do not feel this is wikipedia significant —Preceding unsigned comment added by Soccera2g (talkcontribs) 19:58, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
