KDUS, now dubbed as "The Fan AM 1060", is a sports talk radio station broadcasting out of Tempe, Arizona. It is owned by Sandusky Radio. KDUS is part of the Phoenix radio market.

Programming on The Fan AM 1060 originates mostly from Sporting News Radio, along with some local brokered sports talk.

KDUS is the flagship station of the National Hockey League's Phoenix Coyotes. That makes KDUS the only radio station in the "Valley of the Sun," other than Bonneville International stations KTAR-AM and KTAR-FM, with broadcast rights to a major local professional sports team.

The Fan's current local sports talk lineup includes:
Lunch with Kevin McCabe and Friends (Monday-Friday, 11 AM-1 PM)
The SportsZone with Bob Kemp (Monday-Friday, 1-4 PM)
Calling All Sports with Roc & Manuch (Monday-Friday, 4-7 PM)
The Red Zone with Russ Bliss (Tuesday/Thursday, 7-9PM and Wednesday, 8-9PM)
Balls to the Wall Fantasy Baseball Show with Jonathan L and Brett V (Wednesday, 7-8PM)
Monday Night Golf with Ray Adams (Monday, 7-8 PM)
Great American Golf Show with Ray Adams (Saturday, 6-7 AM)
Outdoors Arizona with Darla (Saturday, 7-9 AM)
Calling All Sports Saturday (Saturday, 10 AM-1 PM)
Xplor the Southwest with Jim Soloman (Sunday, 7-9 PM)

The Fan is also the home of Nebraska football in the Phoenix Metro Area, as well as the flagship station for the NHL's Phoenix Coyotes. The station also runs AIA High School, NCAA and NFL Football games, as well as being the flagship station for Arizona State University baseball.

[edit] History

KDUS was originally KUPD (pronounced "Cupid") in the 1960s with Phoenix veteran Bill Heywood in the morning and a full-service Middle of the road format competing with KOY, which then broadcast at 550. It went to a mainstream Top 40 format in the early 70's. Around 1971, they added KUPD-FM which remained Top 40 until about 1978 when it went rock. AM1060 later went through formats such as Alternative, R&B as KKKQ, and country and then alternative as KUKQ, before flipping to sports talk in 1995.
