[edit] License tagging for Image:Ruben1.png
Thanks for uploading Image:Ruben1.png. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 04:07, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Ruben1.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Ruben1.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

[edit] Kirkyan
At the end of this blog post, you say "For anyone who manages to remotely understand what I’m trying to communicate, rip it up. It’s as much a ramble as anything." So even you admit that kirkyan is not encyclopedic. -- RHaworth 20:08, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
Sorry mate, that's not my blog. But you make a fair point about the kirkyan -- the idea may not be well-developed enough to stand yet as an article. Kdevans 15:00, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Encyclopedic
Encyclopedic? "broad in scope or content"? huh?
Or does Haworth intend to mean that the origination source of an idea must be... proper. No poets scratching thoughts on prison walls; poetry is only important if it's published. No art outside of the Salon; only the elite get to decide what is and is not Art. No equations on a napkin or sitting under apple trees; theories come only from the research lab and institutions of higher learning. And certainly no ideas on blogs, because they're just "outpourings of the chattering classes". - csven —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.0.97.133 (talk • contribs)
- Yes I agree with all the above tests. And other Wikipedians are even more deletionist than me: see my comment in this debate and the riposte to it. Apparently the rules include "not even things which people can see with their own eyes".
- Thanks for the "chattering classes" link - i had not seen it before and one always likes to get mentioned. -- RHaworth 07:08, 28 April 2007 (UTC)
What matters is whether a community (and not necessarily the Wikipedia community) begins to work with and write about a concept, and move it into wider significance and usage. That hasn't happened 'yet' with "kirkyan". Csven -- reckon there may be a place for it in some sort of Design or A.R. Wikia page? I dunno. Its a young concept yet, but time will prove it to have traction. Kdevans 15:04, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
