KDEC (1240 AM) is a commercial radio station broadcasting in Decorah, Iowa. KDEC plays Adult Standards, from Frank Sinatra to Norah Jones, as well as Paul Harvey. Known for it's leadership in sports, AM 1240 KDEC also carries Decorah High School sporting events, covered by News and Sports Director Darin Svenson, winner of the Iowa High School Athletic Association News Media Award in 2006.
