Please do not add external links to commercial websites which are not articles sources, as you did to French language. This may be considered spam or vandalism. NTK 05:15, 17 April 2006 (UTC)

How do I properly add references to 2 language support sites? Both are FREE and do not charge any fees. I don't think they should be excluded from the listings for people looking for French language support. KBR 05:39, 17 April 2006 (UTC)

Can you please give me the links of the sites? --GeorgeMoneyTalk  Contribs 05:47, 17 April 2006 (UTC)

I left a message on the talk page of the person who deleted your links and asked him why he deleted them. I will wait for the answer. Click here for the discussion on that user's page --GeorgeMoneyTalk  Contribs 06:00, 17 April 2006 (UTC)

I apologize; I was reverting vandalism that was made to this article concurrently with the links added by KBR. When I checked the podcast link added by KBR I actually clicked on the wrong one, that was already linked to, which appeared to be a commercial/ad-supported site. The links added by KBR do indeed appear totally noncommercial/donation-supported as far as I can tell. I have no objection to re-adding these links, except that there are so many links already that the page is cluttered and in danger of turning into a web directory. I suggest removing the ad-supported podcast link already there if KBR's links are replaced. NTK 06:10, 17 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Helpme

Thank you for clarifing this, as I was really confused and am new to posting here and I don't want to make a big mistake. The sites are: www.frenchlearningcenter.com and www.frenchpodclass.com. If that's not a good place to put them French language, then where do you suggest? Any guidance would be appreciated. Also, why does this line not break properly when I preview it? KBR 03:17, 18 April 2006 (UTC)

The text came out without a break because the line started with a space (after the {{helpme}} template).
For example.
Ok, the links. Wikipedia:External_links has some guidance on this. Basically, Wikipedia is an encyclopedia - not a place to learn French. I don't think there is any article where these links should be used. Perhaps where you might learn French (and hence these link may be ok) at Wikibooks - but I have no idea on what their policies about external links are.--Commander Keane 03:28, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
I can see what you mean. Probably the reason why your edit to add the links was reverted is that it was thought to be advertising - it was thought you were promoting those websites. The external links for French language are in a rather disgusting state - by all means, to keep things fair add your links to pile.--Commander Keane 03:22, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
