This page is dedicated to summarize the results of performance of Kazakhstan football clubs in European football tournaments. It all started in the season of 2002-03, the year when Football Federation of Kazakhstan became the 52nd member of UEFA. Astana was the first club to advance from first stage of qualification of Champions League or UEFA Cup.
Tobol managed to reach UEFA Cup through three stages of Intertoto Cup in 2007.
[edit] Summary
Due Kazakhstan's spring-fall league system, kazakh clubs are able to start their european campaign only for the next season. Currently club allocation is as following by default: 1 club (champion) for Champions League, 2 clubs (league runner-up and cup winner) for UEFA Cup and 1 club (league 3rd place) for Intertoto Cup. All of them start from first round of corresponding tournaments.
