Kazakhstan will compete in the 2008 Summer Olympics which will be held in Beijing, People's Republic of China from August 8 to August 24, 2008.

Kazakhstan will send archers to the Olympics for the fourth time, seeking the nation's first Olympic medal in the sport. Anastassiya Bannova earned the country its only spot, in the women's individual competition, by placing 26th at the 2007 World Outdoor Target Championships.[1] Kazakhstan has not yet confirmed its selection of Olympic entrant.

Kazakhstan qualified ten boxers for the Olympic boxing tournament, missing only the heavyweight class. Sapiyev, Sarsekbayev, Artayev, and Shynaliyev qualified at the World Championships.[2] Zhakypov was the only boxer to qualify at the first Asian qualifying event.[3] Sarsembayev, Abutalipov, Jafarov, Askhalov, and Myrsatayev all earned spots at the second Asian tournament.[4]
