Kazakhstan Super League 2002 was the 11th edition of Kazakhstan Premier League. [1] [2] [3]

It was decided to have 12 teams in league instead of 17.
No team was promoted
Five teams were relegated to the Kazakhstan First Division at the end of last season:

FC Shakhter-Ispat-Karmet became FC Shakhter

It was split into two stages. In first stage all twelve teams played against each other on home-away basis. In second stage the best and worst six teams played in separate groups. Final standings of teams counted the results of both stages.
