The Kazakhstan International School (KIS) is a private school in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The language of instruction is English.

KIS is divided into three schools:
- Montessori pre-school for children ages 2½ to 5
- Elementary school (uses the IB Primary Years Programme Curriculum) containing the Reception Class for 6 year old children
- Middle school (grades 6-10) (uses the American Curriculum)
Six year old children begin their elementary school life by joining the Reception Class that focuses on teaching them to read and write using Phonics.
Grades 1-3 have individual teachers who teach the children throughout the day.
Grades 4 through 10 use the team teaching model, where specialists in mathematics, science, social sciences, English, and other subjects work together to provide the highest standards of education for each child.
KIS has a cooperative relationship with the Kazakh English Language Theater to provide drama classes for the elementary and middle school children. Productions by the elementary and middle schools are presented to parents, the staff, and the community in the fall and the spring of each school year. Individual music lessons are also provided as well as chorus for the various classes. KIS participates is an intramural sports league with the other private International Schools.

KIS believes in providing the 21st century education for 21st century students. The school emphasizes on its Information Technology Infrastructure. Every classroom in the campus equipped with smart classroom facilities. A summary of Smart Classroom components include:
* LCD projectors to ensure clear visibility of the lessons; * Sub-woofer Speakers and Microphones enhance audio learning for the students; * Touch-screen interactive boards enable versatile teaching and innovative presentations; * High Speed 54 Mbit/s Internet connection; * 'Core2Duo' Processor Computers equipped with laser printer and scanner. * Electronic Classroom Management System (CRMS)
Kazakhstan International School has also purchased 14 sets of customized computer courseware for grades 2-12 to suit the international students' specific learning requirements. The current courseware covers the subject of Science, Mathematics, English language, Russian and Kazakh languages. At every grade level science can not only be taught but demonstrated using science kits that allow teachers and students to experience what they are learning.
