Welcome!

Hello, Kaydell, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!

I particularly appreciate your dedication to sociology-related articles. Keep up the good work. Happy editing, VincentGross 10:21, 20 February 2006 (UTC)

Can I protect my user page, or is that where I have discussions with everybody?

Heya, and as was mentioned above, welcome to wikipedia. Generally, your user_talk page (that's this one) is used for communicating with other editors. Your userpage is for you to tell something about yourself, or for useful links or pictures of your cat, that sort of thing. User pages aren't generally protected unless they're getting a lot of vandalism. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask on my talk page. --W(t) 16:17, 20 February 2006 (UTC)
