From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kayla Bashore (born February 20, 1983 in Daegu, South Korea) is a field hockey defender and midfielder from the United States. She earned her first career senior team cap vs. Canada on August 29, 2005 in Virginia Beach. Bashore, raised in Shoemakersville, Pennsylvania, is a student of the Indiana University.

Bashore began playing field hockey at Hamburg Area High School in Hamburg, PA. Because soccer was her first love, she was hesitant in joining the field hockey team; however, because the girls' soccer team at that time was not very talented, Bashore joined the field hockey team also. During high school, she played soccer, basketball, and field hockey--she played soccer and field hockey year-round.
