[edit] Flying Porcupine

I've been looking, and I can't find any verified source for this nickname. I suspect it's one of those post-war nicknames people made up. Also note the Sunderland flying boat also supposedly has the exact same nickname. Let's leave it for now, but I might switch this to be an "alleged" nickname soon. I looked as well for a few hours back in December and found only the multitude of Sunderland cites. Nothing at all about the H8K being called porcupine. 'Alleged' should do for now but in a month or so if no cite is found I feel that the nickname phrase could be struck completely. Binksternet (talk) 03:12, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
