Kaupo may also refer to Caupo of Turaida

Kaupō is one of the districts (Hawaiian: moku) of Maui, Hawai'i. Kaupo is a very remote and sparsely populated sustainable ranching community.

Kaupō is located along the southern shore of Maui, west of Kipahulu. Kaupo is located on a very rugged and desolate side of the island.

Kaupō was "Wahipana" (Special Place) for ancient Hawaiians. The place where Maternal Grandmother's Ohana (family) was from.

In the early 1900's many families lived in Kaupō. Fishing, farming, hunting and ranching were primary occupations.
