For a long time, ghosts have been associated with mediums. Poltergueists are not "spirits of psycic energy" as many say! They are ghosts, no "psycic powers" will help you find one. Ghosts are simply the spirits of the deceased, who still linger among the living, for some reason or another. I do not follow any medium tactics, or things relating to Harry Price, one of the worst ghost hunters in history, he had teams of amateurs to look for ghosts. Never trying to investigate further to find out natural or man-made causes. And may have even caused some hoaxes himself. No one is psycic, they simply believe this, or try to make other believe this. One may say, "I am psycic, when I guess certain things, I will sometimes get the right area or answer." This is because of probability, no matter what, you'll most likely get one right.
