[edit] Phrasing question

" In fact, Lippman-Brown, who is ethnically Jewish (though an atheist theologically),[1] declined to participate in a prayer led by a Christian minister and the accusation regarding Lippman-Brown's opposition to the pledge was false."

It seems to me that it should be "is an atheist (though/although ethnically Jewish)" Shouldn't a personal profession be stronger than cultural raising which is more or less disavowed? This weakens the idea that the opposition to the pledge was false, but does an atheist have to oppose the pledge? Do we have any qoutes that support the idea that his cultural heritage was more important than his theological ideas? Mokru 10:20 PM, 9 June 2007 (UTC)

  • As the bio was used as a reference, it should not be removed. The retrieval date serves to tell when it was accessed in the state that it was used as a reference. Also, if you check http://www.archive.org , you may find archived versions. I've restored it back to the 2005 version — though not the same version as the one accessed a few days ago (which is apparent from the photograph), it has the keep biographical information that is cited. — ERcheck (talk) 03:50, 18 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Husband Arrested

Her widower Chaz Higgs was arrested in Hampton, Virginia on Friday September 29th. FBI agents took him into custody at the home of relatives that he was visiting. Two Reno Police detectives were dispatched to arrange for his extradition to Nevada on a charge of 1st degree homicide. The warrant was based upon chemical tests peformed during the autopsy that disclosed that her true cause of death was an overdose of a muscle-relaxing drug (succinylycholine) and not a heart attack as had been alleged by her husband. This is an on-going event. Chaz Higgs was a critical-care nurse at Carson-Tahoe Regional Medical Center and had access to surgical drugs. I hope this is the right place for this link, but according to Charles Augustine's children they are now speculating that Kathy Augustine and Chaz Higgs may have poisoned Charles in the hospital. The reason for their open speculation is that Charles was apparently not expected to die and Higgs was one of several nurses in charge of his care during his stay in the hospital. Shortly after his death, Kathy kicked the adult children out of Charles house (which she conveniently inherited) and married Higgs. Charles' body was exhumed, but due to the strange and evasive properties of 'succs' there was no trace. [edit] Bail Hearing, March 2nd, 2007

It appears that Chaz Higgs may be granted bail after posting $250,000. The two conditions are that he remain in the State of Nevada and maintain daily contact with his defense attorneys. [edit] Personal Life Section Expansion

I have expanded the "Personal life" section of this article, after viewing a Fox News Channel program on the Kathy Augustine murder investigation entitled "Crime Scene: Gambling on Love" [2], which aired on November 11, 2006. According to that program, she was a Delta Air Lines flight attendant prior to entering politics, her husband Charles Augustine was a pilot for the airline, and she was married a total of four times, although some sources say twice, and others say three times. If citing a television program as a source is not acceptable under Wikipedia policies and guidelines, please let me know on my Talk page, so that I can try to find sources which are acceptable. --TommyBoy 04:36, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

For the second time since creating this article, I have reverted an anonymous user's unexplained deletion of information regarding Kathy Augustine's stepchildren. If other users feel that the information is inaccurate, I would urge them to correct it and cite a source for their edits.
