[edit] Attention

The focus of this article is way off. 90% of this small article is about her left foot. Or perhaps this entry should be renamed “Kate’s Left Foot”. For this article to be of any worth, there needs to be more information about the site and about Kate. How old or popular is the site. What makes this site more notable than most similar sites? Who is Kate? Has Kate done anything noteworthy?

As to her foot, I don’t think it’s that big of a deal. There was one or two websites pointing out this. (These websites have since been taken down due to a legal threat.) There were A FEW discussion groups talking about this, and they generally resulted in three responses: “WTF”, “She’s still hot”, or “Who cares”. There has been A FEW photoshopping of Kate and 2 or 3 “YTMND” sites. Again, this is not a big deal. There have been many other discussions that have generated much larger responses and websites.

As it stands, this entry is not notable. There needs to be either an expert to come in to add actual content to this page, or this entry will need to be deleted.

[edit] Attention!!!one

First of all, I'm pretty sure it's her RIGHT hoof/foot that you are talking about. Further, she's a trashy internets pr0n star... what sort of "expert" content are you hoping will make its way into this gem of a wikipedia entry?

You may have a hoof fetish... but the majority of people most likely do not. Thus, this information is not only vital, but a vital public service.

1. Okay, right foot. This article originally said left foot. I apologize for not cross-checking that statement.
2. As for "expert", I was referring to someone that knows something about the her or the website itself. I'm not a fan and know nothing about the actual site at all.
3. My point was this page is "Kate's Playground" and not "Kate's RIGHT Foot". If I go to the "George Washington" page, I don't want it to be JUST about his funky teeth. I DO think however that a side-note about her foot would be fine, and I'm surprised that any mention of her foot is now gone.
4. This page stills seems not-notable. I still don't think she's worthy of an encyclopedia entry, with or without here foot issue. In five years, will anyone remember her?
5. The page is a lot better than it was when I stated it needed to be fixed. Here's a reminder:
Kate's Playground is a website belonging to a well-known internet pornography star going by the alias "Kate." Recently, the site has garnered additional, non-sexual interest in the fact that "Kate" reportedly has a deformation in her left foot known as a hoof. Once news got out, hundreds of message boards and chat rooms began heavy discussion of it; it has since become an internet fad.
To view for yourself, search for "Kate's Playground Hoof" on Google or Yahoo! (SafeSearch will allow you to view pictures and read websites pretaining to the matter while minimizing exposure to adult material).
6. Content and spelling aside, let's point out a few things wrong with this. "Well-known... star" is debatable. "Recently" is vague. Where has her foot been reported to have problems (as in outside references)? "Hundreds of message boards" may be pushing it. And as for "heavy discussions", I have yet to see one message board that talked about it for over 3 pages or 100 comments. "GI Own3d" [1] was much more talked about, and there is no way that that deserves a wiki entry. "Internet fad"? That's what I think is REALLY pushing it. How is this a fad? And telling people to do a Google search is hardly a good way of citing sources. My point is that this was a very crappy entry... hence why I said it needed to be cleaned up. ConCuu 01:23, 7 January 2006 (UTC)
7. If you want to use a site to back up your claims, say something like:

In November of 2004, StaticNine has reported that there is a deformity on Kate's right foot, which they referred to it as a hoof.[2] Because this site and other sites like it do not have permission to post Kate's images and these images would be damaging to Kate's Playground, most of the visual evidence has been removed to avoid legal confrontation. [3]

I suppose one can continue on about the different forum discussions, Photoshop edits, and the lawnmower theory... but I don’t think it is necessary. ConCuu 02:17, 7 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Picture

Somebody please put up a picture of her.

Her foot is deformed, from an accident.

  • The picture thing might not be doable, since virtually all images of her that are available are copyright. As for an accident, find a cite; that'd be good to add to the article. Haikupoet 02:06, 10 April 2006 (UTC)

I finally added a photo/image. TCB007 (talk) 15:19, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] misty anderson

why Misty Anderson point to this page?

I'm asking the same question. Apparently the article on Misty Anderson didn't meet Wikipedia's somewhat elitist notability standards, and the suggestion was made that it be merged here. Obviously no one who voted for it actually read the original article. If no one is going to add a section on Misty Anderson here, I suggest the original article simply be recreated. 68.145.238.33 18:05, 8 May 2006 (UTC)
how is possible to see in google[1][2] it's easy to see that they are two different girls.

I think that redirect should be delit soon

[edit] Logo Picture

The picture you claim is the "logo" for Kate should not be included on the page. Including it and moving the other picture makes the page look messy. Also, that is not the logo. The graphic to the right on the image that says Kate's Playground is the logo. You just took the banner from the top of her homepage. I think it is completely unneccassary. Also, why did you mention Misty Anderson underneath the other picture?Letsgomets1212 15:31, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Misty Anderson redirect deleted

The redirect to this article from Misty Anderson was absolutely pointless and confusing. Since redirecting was basically the same as deleting, I have chosen to simply delete the Misty Anderson redirect, leaving it open for others to create an actual article on that model if they so choose. If someone wants to create a Misty Anderson subsection to this article (which would require citation that the two sites are run by the same organization) then the Misty Anderson redirect can be recreated later. 23skidoo 17:46, 18 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Rumors about Kate's foot

The rumors are real, and are part of why the model is notable. Whether or not her foot is actually deformed as some has speculated is something that has not and probably will never be confirmed, but the rumors persist and are notable. Please do not remove it; it constitutes vandalism. Haikupoet 04:57, 19 October 2006 (UTC)

Another picture http://i.somethingawful.com//sasbi/2006/11/elpintogrande/23-kate.jpg --Getalifebud 20:01, 26 November 2006 (UTC)

-The current picture that is up, as of December 19, of the foot is a photoshopped fake. Deleting.

-Bullshit.--69.244.77.95 08:05, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

-Whether her foot is actually deformed or not is beside the point... the RUMOR is real and it is quite clearly out there, and it should be mentioned in the article. Rumors DON'T HAVE "reliable" sources, because if they did they wouldn't be *duh* RUMORS. Several websites which reference this internet rumor have already been given by other posters. I myself hadn't even heard about the rumor until today, when it came up in this thread on worldofwarcraft.com...

Once again, that was this very subject, Kate's Foot, brought up randomly on the COMPLETELY UNRELATED and HEAVILY TRAFFICKED worldofwarcraft.com forums. (Consiquently, if the thread is inevitably closed and/or missing, I offer my apologies. It is after all, discussing pornography on a videogame forum... I imagine it won't last forever, but it was still there at the time of this posting.) After reading that thread on WorldofWarcraft.com, I went out to the internet to find more information on "Kate's Hoof" and the web is practically swimming with articles. I came to wikipedia hoping to find more solid information, and there was absolutely nothing, which now that I investigate Kate's discussion pages, seems due to the fact that there are some users here who would rather keep their heads in the sand on touchy issues such as deformity and pornography than post useful information that a regular user like me might actually come looking for. (Which, and I know this is wacky, I thought was the purpose of this site.)

Frankly I agree with the previous poster. This is, for lack of a better term, Bullsh!t. This article should mention the foot rumor. The fact that there's even discussion about it is just people using loopholes and BS politics to keep out the information they don't like. I wouldn't be surprised if Valrith was Kate's Publicist. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.201.225.126 (talk) 04:25, 14 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Refrence about her "hoof"

Hello, That link to the forum was outdated and was a bit crap - just a couple of pics - see http://www.fohguild.org/forums/screenshots-hall-fame/13015-kate-has-hoof.html?highlight=kates+hoof It just had lots of replies.

I've replaced it with something that appears to be a lot more authoritive and accurate.

[edit] Sexuality and Ethnicity

As for her sexuality, has she claimed to be bisexual or to have had sex with another girl? Or vice versa? Because otherwise it seems like her "lesbianism" is simply assumed from her posing with other female models. Also, as for her ethnicity, I've seen her ethnicity listed as Asian before (Indeed, on Uncyclopedia her picture is even in various pages involving Asian peoples, for example). So, what about that? --Scorpios 04:13, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

  • She lists her ethnicity as Caucasian/White on her own (confirmed) MySpace page, www.myspace.com/katepground —Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.176.215.2 (talk • contribs) 17:14, December 15, 2006
    • MySpace is not a reliable source. Valrith 20:54, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
      • Excuse us, Valrith, but unfortunately porn stars aren't in the habit of publishing biographies. In this case, I think it would be acceptable to consider an official Myspace page as suitable for reference. I mean, it's not like we're talking about a well-known public official here. --Sturmwehr 11:04, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
        • [[4]]. It is not reliable as a SECONDARY source. I think Kate Ground might know a little bit more about herself than Wiki users. I don't see any reason why we should follow her page and keep ethnicity at Caucasian and change gender to Straight. --Scorpios 09:52, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
          • That was my point exactly in making that comment (though now I'm posting from a different IP, so, like... yeah, kinda Fs things up. I should get around to signing up.) Also something I should mention, I know there's no way to verify it, but I'm positive that her and the number 1 in her top 8 are married and expecting a child. There's many clues on each of their respective pages, but again, any claim of such would be unverifiable and unreliable... --24.222.102.68 22:45, 24 December 2006 (UTC)
            • She's probably an Eskimo. SolInvictus 14:15, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

Does Kate have some Asian ancestry or not? One can't ignore that in many pictures she does look a bit Asian, especially around the eyes.

[edit] Unreferenced material

The article as a whole is basically unreferenced, with the exception of some of the stats in the infobox. Valrith 17:19, 18 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] "Hoof"

The information presented about her "hoof" is poorly sourced and can be considered controversial per WP:BLP. As a result, it should not be present in the article unless it can be backed up with reliable sources! And yes, I did take a look at the information presented on the Kate's Playground page... very thin "proof" provided. As Jimbo said (as found in WP:BLP):

"I can NOT emphasize this enough. There seems to be a terrible bias among some editors that some sort of random speculative 'I heard it somewhere' pseudo information is to be tagged with a 'needs a cite' tag. Wrong. It should be removed, aggressively, unless it can be sourced. This is true of all information, but it is particularly true of negative information about living persons."

Thus the info about the "hoof" should be pulled. Tabercil 20:47, 8 July 2007 (UTC)

Why do you hate deformed people? It's not negative information. We can't all be fucking beautiful in every way. 69.246.169.67 23:25, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
I don't know who you're kidding, I gave a source and there a re plenty more out there, not to mention its vividly obvious from the photos that somethings up. However its clear if I put it back up and add more websites to back me up, it will still be reverted and lead to an edit war, thus I will not put it back up again. --EveryDayJoe45 20:57, 8 July 2007 (UTC)
Your source delivers zero reliability. Unless you can bring something better, this info does not belong in the article. ~ | twsx | talkcont | 21:43, 8 July 2007 (UTC)

Is her foot really in the scope of the article (yet)? Kl4m 10:30, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

There are images which clearly show it. How can these be used at sources? Do you link to a picture? Or does the information have to be text based? Images clearly showing it can be found here: http://kates-playground.info/kates-playground-hoof.php or an even clearer image here: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v486/CartooN_NetworK/kateshoof7uf.jpg

Obviously these are images of a porn star, so expect nudity. Not sure if any of them are explicit, but you'd be stupid to look at them at work or anything... You should be working ;) 138.38.217.149 (talk) 01:48, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Biography

I recall an earlier edit having her age, birthday, and some more minor details. Why were these removed? 99.245.231.74 05:43, 25 August 2007 (UTC)

This is reliable. Mathmo Talk 05:51, 11 October 2007 (UTC)

That's hardly 'reliable'. That page also says her name is Kate P.Ground when it's actually Jenise Hetu... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.134.117.128 (talk) 02:37, 15 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Married

It's been nearly a year now - is it not time the page mentioned her marriage (and also come to think of it, her son)? These are pretty significant details to miss out compared to that uncited line about her 'hoof' which has somehow still survived.86.134.117.128 02:42, 15 October 2007 (UTC)

Where do you get this info on her being married and having a kid? because I've never heard of this before68.248.236.96 (talk)

[edit] Lead-in; pseudonym

"Kate Ground is the pseudonym of an adult model."

The lead in, as it is now, suggests that the article is about the pseudonym Kate Ground, and not about the model who bears the pseudonym. Therefore I'll be editing it accordingly, and I'll be removing mention of the pseudonym altogether. Kate P. Ground probably isn't her real name, of course, but, well, there just aren't any reliable sources stating as such: just message-board conjecture. -Knyght27 (talk) 14:00, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
