Kattoo

Kattoo is a solo project created by German electronic music artist Volker Kahl. Kahl and Gabor Schablitzki made up the disbanded group Beefcake.

Much of Kahl's work, both in Beefcake and as Kattoo, consists of synthesized orchestral melodies and harmonies backed by fast, intricate drum loops. In Megrim's liner notes, Kahl thanks many contemporary film composers for inspiration, including James Horner, Howard Shore, Thomas Newman, and Hans Zimmer.

Kattoo has released albums on Hymen Records.
