Katsura, Ibaraki

This article is about the former village in Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan. There is a city with this name in Chiba Prefecture, see Katsura, Chiba, as well as a town in Tokushima Prefecture, see Katsura, Tokushima.
Katsura (桂村; -mura) was a village located in Higashiibaraki District, Ibaraki, Japan. On February 1, 2005 the village merged with the town of Johoku and a village from neighboring Nishiibaraki District forming the town of Shirosato and no longer exists as an independent municipality.
As of 2003, the village had an estimated population of 6,924 and a density of 149.45 persons per km². The total area was 46.33 km².
