Katori Station

Katori Station (香取駅, Katori-eki) is a train station in Katori (former Sawara City), Chiba Prefecture, Japan, located at the junction of the Narita Line and Kashima Line, East Japan Railway Company (JR East).
It opened in oparation on November 10, 1931, by the extension of Japan National Railways (JNR) Narita Line. On August 20, 1970, JNR started the operation of its Kashima Line, and made Katori the departure station. According to devision and privatization, East JR succeeded its management from JNR on April 1, 1987.
It's in the downstream zone of the Tone River southern bank. The large Katori Shrine is near the station, but usually nobody works here.
All of trains in Kashima Line run through from/to Sawara Station on Narita Line.
