Kato Karyes or Kato Karies (Greek: Κάτω Καρυές), older name: Kalyvia Karyon or Kalivia Karion is a Greek village located approximately 10 km (old: 9 km) west of Megalopoli, 16 km norhtwest from the nearest interchange with the GR-7/E65 (Kalamata - Megalopoli - Tripoli), about 45 km southeast of Andritsaina, south of Karytaina and west-southwest of Tripoli. Kato Karyes had a population of 51 people according to the last census in the year 2001. Kato Karyes or Karyes is also a part of the municipality of Megalopoli. Kato Karyes is linked to a road connecting Lykaia and Megalopoli, the road to Choremi and the road to Katsibali. The GR-76 (Krestena - Andritsaina - Megalopoli) are connected to the north and south of the village.

Kato Karyes is built by a river and located west of the Peloponnese's longest river, the Alfeios. The mountains cover the western part of the area whose altitude reaches up to approximately 800 m. The western and the central parts are mostly covered by forests, whereas farmlands are located mostly in the central and eastern parts. From Kato Karyes one can see the Lykaio mountain to the west, the mountains to the north, the east and the south.

The 1981 and the 1991 census was one of the few places in Arcadia where the population only grew by one inhabitant.

Kato Karyes has a churc and a square (plateia). Its nearest school (since 2005) and lycaeum (middle school) and gymnasium (secondary school) are in Megalopoli.
