Katie Fforde (1952) is an English novelist.
Katie Fforde has lived near Stroud, Gloucestershire for over twenty years. She didn’t start writing until she had moved there and had the third of her three children.
Her novels include Restoring Grace, Paradise Fields and Living Dangerously. Her novel, Flora's Lot, was published in 2005, which was published under the title Bidding for Love in the US. Her latest novels are Practically Perfect and Going Dutch, which was a Sunday Times top ten bestseller in June 2007.
Most of Katie’s experiences – however minor – tend to end up in her books and she always has a lot of fun doing her research. Her hobbies include singing in the local choir, shopping and watching television.
She was for many years a committee member of the Romantic Novelists Association and is founder of the Katie Fforde Bursary for writers who have yet to secure a publishing contract.
