Katiadi is located at 24.2500° N 90.7917° E . It has 49488 units of house hold and total area 219.22 km².

As of 1991 Bangladesh census^[1], Katiadi has a population of 264501. Males constitute are 50.24% of the population, and females 49.76%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 125001. Katiadi has an average literacy rate of 20.3% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. ^[2]
