Kathy Webb is an American restaurateur and politician from Arkansas. A Democrat, she is a member of the Arkansas House of Representatives representing the state's 37th district based in downtown Little Rock.
Webb was first elected to the legislature in 2006, winning the Democratic primary in the 37th district with over 56% of the vote in a four-candidate field. No Republican filed for the heavily Democratic seat so Webb won the general election unopposed.
She is running unopposed for re-election in 2008, facing neither a primary nor a general election opponent.[1] Assuming she is re-elected in 2010, Webb will be termed out of the House of Representatives in 2012.
Educated at Hall High School in Little Rock, Webb took her BA in Political Science at Randolph-Macon Woman's College in Lynchburg, Virginia. She has spent her career in the hospitality industry and is the owner of an award-winning restaurant in Little Rock.
A lesbian, she is the first ever openly gay elected official in the history of the state of Arkansas.[2]
