Kathy Brown is a House music singer from South Carolina.

She had scored #1 success as the lead singer of Praxis before having Stateside dance hits on her own. In 1999 she climbed to #4 on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart with "Joy" and in 2004 was the credited lead vocalist on the British act Soul Central's "Strings Of Life (Stronger On My Own)" which became a major Hot Dance Music/Club Play hit in the United States as well as a moderate Rhythmic/Dance format radio hit. The track that samples Rhythm Is Rhythm's 1989 House classic. Her fire-brand vocals animate other cuts such as "Voodoo Magic" and "Time & Time Again" by the Major Boys. In the spring 2006 she recorded a great vocal tune "Get Another Love", released on Defected Records. The track went on to score in a Top 10 of the BBC Radio 1 Dance Chart.
