Kathleen M. Jimino is the county executive of Rensselaer County, New York.[1]

Jimino was educated at Catholic Central High School, and Siena College, from where she graduated cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics. Additionally, she received her Master’s degree in Social Policy from SUNY Empire State College.[2]
[edit] Political Career
Jimino was a candidate for mayor of Troy, New York in 1995, losing by only 119 votes. In 1997, Jimino was appointed and later elected to the Rensselaer County Legislature. In 2001, she was appointed Rensselaer County Executive and elected six months later. She was re-elected in 2005.[3]
