Kathleen M. Blee

Kathleen M. Blee (1953-) is a professor of sociology at the University of Pittsburgh. Her areas of interest include: gender; race and racism; social movements; sociology of space and place. Much of her work has been focused on women in the Ku Klux Klan.

Blee received a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1982 and her M.S. (also in Sociology) in 1976. She completed her B.A. in Sociology with highest honors in 19974 from Indiana University.
