Kathleen Burke

Kathleen Burke (5 September 1913 Hammond, Indiana - 9 April 1980, Chicago) was an American movie actress in the 1930s. Her impressive debut in was as the Panther Woman in Island of Lost Souls (1933), a screen version of H.G. Wells's novel The Island of Dr. Moreau.

This led to more than a score of screen appearances over the following seven years, most notably as the leading lady in The Lives of a Bengal Lancer (1935) opposite Gary Cooper and The Last Outpost with Cary Grant that same year. Her last film role was in 1938.
