Katharina Wagner

Katharina Wagner (born 21 May 1978 in Bayreuth) is a German opera director. She is the daughter of Wolfgang Wagner and Gudrun Wagner, and the great granddaughter of Richard Wagner.

She notably staged The Flying Dutchman in Würzburg and Lohengrin in Budapest.

Her début directorial role at the Bayreuth Festival, a production of Richard Wagner's The Mastersingers of Nuremberg in July 2007, was booed.[1]
