Kate Shugak series

The Kate Shugak series is a mystery series by Dana Stabenow, featuring the fictional character Kate Shugak. The first book, A Cold Day for Murder, won the Edgar Award for Best Paperback Original in 1993.
The plots of the books in the Kate Shugak series involve Aleuts and, to a lesser extent, Eskimos. Indian tribes native to Alaska are also occasionally mentioned.
