Katate Hazushi Ichi is a Yawara technique in Danzan Ryu Jujitsu.

Uke (attacker) grabs Tori's (defender's) wrist. Tori turns his wrist and snaps outward at the Uke's thumb.

Katate Hazushi Ichi is generally the first on the list of Yawara due to its very simple nature and high usefulness.

Circular escapes are varitions on the art in which instead of snapping outward, Tori breaks Uke's grip by rotating his wrist around Uke's and escapes by using his wrist as a lever.
