English: Photo from 1943 exhumation of mass grave of polish officers killed by NKVD in Katyń Forest in 1940. Excavation of the largest grave (#1). Bodies of general Mieczysław Smorawiński and general Bogusława Bohaterowicza were found in this grave.
Polski: Zdjęcie z 1943 roku z ekshumacji ciał polskich oficerów zamordowanych przez NKWD w Katyniu w 1940. Odkopywanie największego grobu (nr. 1). W tym grobie znaleziono zwłoki generała Mieczysława Smorawińskiego i generała Bogusława Bohaterowicza.
