Talk:Kaslo, British Columbia
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Let us not forget a very large part of the economy in Kaslo. The marijuana industry which essentially floods the town with disposable income every fall from the outdoor crops nearby. This is not a joke, huge dollars are spent in and around a town of less than 2,000 people. That money does not come from forestry, nor tourism. It is an accepted and recognized chunk of local economy that exists (and has for years) in a town that sees little tourist dollars over the course of a year, and where employment is scarce.
