From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Kasos massacre was the massacre of Greek civilians, after the rebellions.

On 7 June 1824, Ali's men landed on Kasos and killed around 7,000 inhabitants. [1] Reprisals were committed after the Greek Christian population rebels against the Ottoman Empire; the island was burnt to the ground.
